Nate Macht

Founder and Managing Partner

As an investor, strategist, and advisor to early-stage healthcare companies, I’m passionate about improving patient experiences and outcomes through digital solutions and healthcare technologies. In a world where one’s care journey can often evoke stress and confusion, I have seen first-hand how innovative solutions can provide clear and reliable answers, alleviating uncertainty and improving outcomes for all stakeholders.

At BrightEdge - American Cancer Society, my work as an investor in early-stage oncology companies centers around catalyzing impactful technologies across the patient journey, from Screening & Prevention through Survivorship & Surveillance. Through my leadership of the Project HEALTH accelerator program, these catalytic efforts become even more influential, guiding companies focused on care access and social determinants of health through the earliest stages of development.

Throughout my career I have experienced the healthcare innovation ecosystem from a variety of perspectives, whether that be my current role as an investor and leader of a digital health accelerator, as a new venture builder during my time at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an advisor at ScaleHealth to early-stage healthcare companies, or as a mentor to MassChallenge accelerator cohorts in the HealthTech and US Early Stage tracks.

I hold a Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University, focused in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Fairfield University and specialized training at Harvard Medical School regarding digital transformation in healthcare.
